SM City Manila is livening up the food scene in the locality with the launch of the 5-day Filipino Food Festival last May 26, 2019.

Food festivals are a great way to celebrate food and local culture. It showcases the abundant, rich and diverse regional cuisine to the forefront. The Filipino Food Festival brings culinary appreciation closer to people and provides the venue for discovering new flavors.

SM City Manila invited  Chefmom Rosebud Benitez and Chef Reggie of Mangan and Cabalen to whip up enticing dishes in a cooking demo.

Shoppers got to fill their happy tummies with savory dishes by Celebrity Chefmom Rosebud Benitez and Chef Reggie of Mangan and Cabalen.  Chef Rosebud come up with easy-to-prepare  dishes such as Seafood Kare-Kare,  Pork Binagoongan and Chicken Adobo that puts the spotlight on homegrown Filipino cuisine we all love.  For his part,   Chef Reggie whipped up all-in-one soupy  fares.  His take on  sinigang  was straight-forward.

Sindaw Philippines  provided enticing live dance performances in between the cooking demos as the crowd tasted the food.  Cooking demonstrations are a real crowd pleaser as the audience gets to eat the food and take away the recipes.
